The great thing about the world today, is that if we don’t like something about our bodies, we can change it. Procedures such as breast augmentation is now available in private hospitals in Germany. Before being able to go ahead with any surgery, there are many procedures which have to be done prior to the actual surgery, such as:· You will need to have a consultation with the surgeon prior to surgery, this initial consultation will cost money, so be prepared to pay for this separate to the actual cost of the operation – during this consultation, the surgeon will examine you and give you options for the surgery. He will recommend the breast size and the kind of implant, which is on offer.
· It is important at this stage to look into the amount of the procedure itself, as the amount you will pay for your implant will depend on the type you have chosen to go with, usually the tear drop implant will cost more.
· Once you have had your consultation and have decided to go ahead with the procedure, then you will be asked to book in your surgery, and be given a date for the operation.
· Usually a week prior to the operation, you will be asked to go to a pre-op assessment, where you will be given a number of tests. These tests are to make sure that you are fit for surgery.
· Once you have the all clear from these tests you will then be ready for surgery.
· After surgery you will usually be discharged the next day and will need to have a relative drive you home, as you will find it very difficult for many weeks to use your arms properly after the operation.
· You will be advised not to lift or drive for a number of weeks.

Before opting for surgery it is very important that you have a reputable surgeon do the operation. If he/she comes recommended then this is a good clue as to the reputation the surgeon has in general.
